Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Return to office

You know, if this executive team worked on actual issues rather than when people will return to their brick and mortar offices, we'd actually have a good company.

These fools can't see 5 weeks into the future, but we're letting them run the company?

We worked our as--s off to show that we can do it from anywhere, yet these dinosaurs are going to force us all back into "collaborative workspaces".

Congratulations Enbridge. I'm going to do only what I need to, and stop going "above and beyond" for you. You win. You got me back to the office. Hope it's awesome, while I look for another job on your time.

Shareholders should proceed with extreme caution.

Omicron is so bad in Ontario yet we still have to go into the office. Alberta workers get to stay home but I bet you AM has been lobbying JK to lift the WFH restriction. Safety and integrity my a-s.

I agree with the OP. All time, money and effort spent on opposing to the hybrid model is ridiculous. I am confident ELT will cave into it. AWA already provided work from home 1-2 days a week. The hybrid is that much different. Get with the times already! And I’m working just as hard at home.

Enbridge upper management motto: " ...but we've always done it this way!" This is the very thing they hate to hear from employees resistant to change.

You aren't owed in perpetuity something you never had until a pandemic. If that's the job, that's the job. People act like it's some sort of kindness they're doing for Enbridge, instead of recognizing it for what it is. A well paid job. It's not altruism on your part. If you don't like the terms, walk away. But don't pretend you're hard done by.

"if Infrastructure Planning is soooo great,"

They're not. The company's locations are filled with the idle remnants of their inability to predict even the short term future.

We all know you’re not going anywhere. You just came here to vent. Though I don’t disagree. Enbridge is always focused on the wrong things and this whole opposition to hybrid working is quite stupid, especially when so many others are doing it.

Cry a little more, just remember all the people that lost their job over office closures due to covid. Plus the ones that continued to work with the public (thank you to all the first responders) right through it all. You were lucky to stay employeed and safe at home. Sorry it's ending, but sooner or later it had too. The quicker you find employment at some other unfortunate company the better, your dead weight.

Clearly the dinosaur upper management at Enbridge can't adapt to a changed world due to Covid. No surprise here.

the sooner you find a new job the better, take your crybaby attitude elsewhere

stop your belly-aching and get back to the office, there have been been many of us who haven't worked one day from home since the start, going into thousands of customers homes, working along side contractors and the general public without issue.
