We were "absorbed" into Rackspace in 2020 (Pre IPO). During the onboarding phase we were told that RS hadn't laid anyone off in the previous 5 or so years, they were proud of finding a job where everyone was valued.
They laid off a chunk of my team that was absorbed 3 months after IPO. We had a 6 month window. At the end of that window they then made the announcement that ANOTHER chunk of the team was being laid off with a 1 year window.
They found out that we couldn't find capable people in India AND get them fully trained in 6 months so they're trying 1 year.
Would I recommend the company? No. Not for anything. I wouldn't recommend them for a job or as a service provider at this point.
