Optum Tech has resorted to forcing people out.. (resign or be terminated), despite MAP rating of 5, for example) especially women. Employment is “at will”, so unless you’re up for a legal battle, there is no recourse. HR buries complaints and cases filed with them. OGS culture is, no doubt, dictating who goes. Strong, outspoken women are not tolerated by OGS. All women targeted are finding each other, comparing notes and know this to be what’s going on. Just FYI, it won’t always be layoff, which would be preferred because of severance. They are taking different approaches now. Ugly. The environment of fear and competition they have created is repulsive. Lots of folks bailing out due to stress and before they are targeted.

The US empire has employment at will doctrines/regimes UNLIKE ANY other country. So, NO- you do not have any employment rights, etc..(except se-ual orientations, race, ethnicity, origin, gender, religion bias)--other than that the company can do whatever whenever anytime no reason any reason. That's the US empire. Unless you have an employment agreement like other real countries, you're screwed and the overlords want it that way.
HR is more American theater. A bad joke. Gong show it.
HR buries then closes all cases of female discrimination. Only cases that get paid out are blatant se-ual harassment with irrefutable evidence like text messages. Optum is a old frat boys club that needs to be burned at the stake.
HR is there to protect the vile corporation. They are NOT on your side. Period. Say NOTHING to them. They are NOT your friends. They only are there to protect the vile American company
They should have been paying attention to the complaints in HR. They could have avoided a costly lawsuit which can drive the stock down.....
Absolutely agree! I’ve not seen areas like that in my 10 years, but have seen female individuals like that. That is not what’s happening in the good ol’ boys club of Optum and OGS (India). Good women, top performers, are being forced out simply because don’t permit an environment of utter female submission (be seen and not heard). Simple as that. It’s not ok, just as the scenario you noted is not right.
