Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

I am ready!

To grab some popcorn and watch CHK try to control itself when it sees those high nat gas prices this winter! Cue the excess spending and huge paychecks for everyone, then the inevitable crash and layoffs. Hey CHK, ever heard of a rainy day fund? Ever give a flying flap about keeping your "greatest assets" working? Remember all the vendors you just didn't pay because you knew you were bankrupt anyways?

Commodities down, CHK employees complain. Commodities up, same employees, “Boy, can’t wait to see CHK f—k this up.”

What is on your wishlist sir? What would make you content?

STFU.

When the civil suits for BV incident happen will be interesting to see how many former employees get called and sure they will name ivory tower management for allowing it to continue. But sure the golden ones keep on lying about things and they never miss a beat even if people don’t make it home at the end of their shift.

Actually I can't think of a single Texas Tech person that got laid off. How?

Honestly, when is this freakshow going to be dismantled?
All those stolen billions from the innocent and naif stockholders are not enough yet?
Who is allowing this Ponzi scheme to endure after the dark shame (apparently at least) of a bankruptcy???

Yea, working on some really marginal stuff and adjusting estimate volumes upwards we will be busy spending money and never worried about post reviewing projects. Hearing the Vine gang also told to get projects ready and this will be volume driven year at all cost, including minimum EHS input as usual as long as you make sure your cone is on your vehicle.

No more layoffs, they just make up stuff and send people away with no severance or LTI is what we have heard but hopefully those responsible for the fatalities will eventually get caught up in being sent home. Wondering if board even cares about what is really going on since if anyone thinks someone called the hotline they are very quickly sent packing and HR is forced by our oh so great VPs

It's fine. Give us all the money! We know it's temporary and the execs are going to get filthy rich in the process. Some will trickle down to me to keep my fat mouth shut (or open depending on who you ask). Why not cash in on this ponzi scheme in the meantime? The respect was gone a long time ago so now I just collect paychecks and laugh at the cr-p show.
