Our dues working hard to keep American jobs safe in Schenectady. They are going to record the processes and ship the videos and jobs and equipment over seas. Union dues paid off on this one It’s a done deal. Write ups will stick with more job loss. The company got rid of all the qualified engineers that made the product wha it is. Growth and engineering advancement is not on the table for Schenectady 273 and 66.

I heard GE made a deal with Hollywood for a new reality TV show. This way Americans can watch us and realize there is a whole group of people who are complete jackasses and are way more pathetic than they could ever be. It'll improve the moral of everyone nation wide! It's going to be called People of GE Schenectady. I'm telling you.... it's going to be a national sensation!!! It'll be aired on NBC! Better start perfecting your signature because pretty soon people will recognize you on the street and will be asking for it!!
Time studies have not been done in 273, the production use to be piece work. It went to hourly at a livable wage with an honest days work. Then the union allows the company to push the T rates around and treated the T’s different than the D’s in 2011. Now cameras in the shop that I was told multiple times by the union it would never happen. I can say this I would of rather have taken a layoff then sell out like this. Just like the job code/ consolidation agreement the onion sold us out on. I think strongly I deserve a refund on all my 10 years of onion dues. We keep keeping walked all over in Schenectady and the onion leaders let it happen with no votes from the floor. The 301 onion Dictatorship we have for a leadership.
1smu+1cZdj9zt- this guy bowing down to kiss the companies backside. Must be a T rate again justifying why a company steam rolls the onion.
If you are a hard working, and honest employee, then you have nothing to worry about. If you're not, then the cameras will serve a very useful purpose. They will help to rid the company of the dead wood and leaches which are the downfall of any company. Union workers should look inside their own house before blaming management for every problem that exists. You can still put out a good product regardless of the problems.
I love this site, and it's where I get my weekly dose of comedy... Layoffs or no layoffs, VRIP's or no VRIP's, cameras or no cameras, who really cares? There's nothing anyone posting on this site can do about it, including myself. If its going to happen, so be it. Let the chips fall where they may... As far as I'm concerned, they can shut the doors and throw away the keys. Just my two cents. Good luck.
Time studies have been performed scores of times by manufacturing engineers over the decades…you were just to stupid realize it. We don’t need a camera for a time study as reems of data already exist and everyone knows that 301 employees are a lazy, slow, ignorant lot. There could be many reasons for cameras, but a time study is not one of them.
If this is true or half true what did the union get out of the deal? No layoffs for a few months?
Time studies are in the works as well.
