Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Pending Layoffs?

It’s end of the quarter, the vaccine deadline for many is looming on 10/1.

What are the chances of reductions coming in the next few weeks?

TouchWorks is loosing revenue every quarter and the long term outlook isn’t good

TW to lose 12 million? Was not aware TW generated any where near that in reoccurring revenue. Allscripts "invests" very little to nothing in product lines. So asking is that reduction of reoccurring revenue or pure expense to meet contractual obligations. ? On the flip side. 12 million is a drop in the bucket when you add up all the FAILED software utilities purchased over the years. Purchase NANT HEALTH vapor Ware ranks up there as the bell cow of healthcare software incompetence. Best of luck to those still left.

“ I heard a rumor with UH and GW leaving the TW unit is projected to loose a lot next yr”

What’s the DL on EIEIO?
This forum is anonymous, don’t understand why the cryptic posts.

UH announced early in the year they signed with Epic. Apparently the same is true of GW. UH is a huge revenue loss and is both a Sunrise and TW customer.

3eze+1cYGiAKW, I believe the financials (or greed) dictate if & when layoffs will occur, not the total number of active heads... The do more with less is here to stay... The eliminate expenses to maintain a "accepted" growth of profit from the shrinking revenue is Allscripts practices. Good luck

This is the first time in many years that I haven't worried about layoffs. There hasn't been the mass hirings that typically follow when mass layoffs, like in 2019/2020 happen, which leads to another round of layoffs for budget reason. Also there has not been the that much client attrition this year and they have even managed to pick up a few new clients. There are also several positions that are open that are going unfilled.

So we might not see any layoffs ... this year.

So many people are leaving that it might not be necessary. Although clients are switching to epic left and right, so may have to soon if there are people sitting in unnecessary positions.
