The stores in our area, including the one that I work at are so dirty, unsanitary, and understaffed. Being a manager at the store, I spend maybe 5 percent of the time actually managing and 95 percent of the time checking or home shopping. I refuse to shop at any of the stores in our area due to the fact that the cold food sits out much too long and the cleanliness is sub sub par. It’s not that we cannot find the help either, it’s we don’t want to give the hours to employees to get them to the point that they would get benefits, it’s a sad sad time

Our healthmarket section is nasty. A coworker and i pull 8 carts or expired products off of the shelf from just 3 small isles.
It’s past being able to be fixed. All I heard last year with our (actual) bonus meeting was that “Hy-Vee made mistakes, but we’re looking forward, we’re BURNING THE SHIPS!”
Well Randy you fu----g re--rd, what you were smelling were the employees patience and your bridges burning. You put all your buddies on the board, they couldn’t even tell you if your underpants were on the outside of your pants l, that’s how far they live up your a-s. And I am making it totally personal with you Randy. I called in sick once in three years, made the impossible possible during covid, never got it, and ran that dept with my manager every damn day. Husband going through medical problems, never missed a day because of it. You gave me a 25 cent raise, then had your gawky lap boy Tim C. tell my store that our bonus, or lack there of was strictly our fault, while making no mention of the TOTAL LABOR FALLOUT going on across America right now, we were to blame though because i sacrificed absolutely everything!!? I can’t even begin to tell you how absolutely fu----g ashamed my entire staff is of our corporate’s schizophrenic response since this id--t was out in charge. I hope I never her or see your name again Randy
I totally agree. Our stores are filthy. I've worked in three of them and the restrooms are disgusting. I've seen the management putting out fires in aisles online all day. They shouldn't be managers because they have no time to manage anything. Cold product stays out until someone gets around to it because the coolers are jammed full because there's nobody to run the product.
No dairy or frozen managers anymore so no one is managing the small amount of cooler space. The outdated and damaged product is appalling. Bring back dairy and frozen managers please.
