Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

This place is abusive

Sometimes it feels like Teradata is outright abusive towards us and nobody gives a damn. And they should. There can be serious consequences to employees' health - both mental and physical - of such behavior. I wish somebody would pay attention because it doesn't cost them anything to treat us like human beings.

Your first mistake is thinking they care about employees. They are chattel and easily replaced. Your second mistake is staying and putting up with it.

When the Board doesn't hold the ELT accountable, the are emboldened to become petty tyrants. And the last thing tyrants care about is your health.

The senior managers there routinely yell at each other, their subordinates, and even with vendors present on calls sometimes.

It's unprofessional behavior, and it communicates to the ranks that the management are in over their heads.
