With the 777X program approaching a decade long to EIS, with no certainty. What else can go wrong?
Sigh. We lost so much experience to do the job well

Most of the detail design on the 787 was done by suppliers. Most of the 777x Was done by design centers and Boeing Moscow.
They try to get back into part fabrication because of losing knowledge But the 777X is not the design leap the 787 was. It was more like a 737 max hodgepodge putting 787 wings on a 777 fuselage.
A new airplane would’ve been better but again management does not want to spend money on a new development program they want to spend it on stock options to artificially inflate the price of the stock to enrich the Board of Directors.

The regulatory agency has informed Boeing that it won’t give Boeing
Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) for the 777-9 unless the air-framer
provides evidence that it has conclusively solved a number of software
and hardware issues.
This is a clear signal to Boeing that the regulatory agency will longer function
As Boeing’s coconspirator in covering-up their shoddy workmanship
and unethical business practices.
There is No evidence that the 777-9 meets safety assessment:
Nor has Boeing been able to provide evidence that the 777-9 meets the
Preliminary Safety Assessment.
Which means that Boeing doesn’t meet its own TIA criteria.
There is insufficient and inadequate data available to file the
Certification Flight Test Plans for this phase of TIA.
An assessment of CCS concluded that “data is not yet mature enough to show
Compliance.
Listed are many open problems against the safety documentation,
assessments, and requirements”.
It also notes that the analysis included incorrect use of data from the Boeing 787
This is a clear sign of more criminal intent or gross negligence and incompetence

777X contract was signed with suppliers in 2014. ATC IN 2023 NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. With EIS in 2024. Wait, is that 10 years?
Back in 2016, Boeing moved Defense HQ from St. Louis to D.C. Sounds like St Louis is just a production site for F-15, F-18 an the new Air Force trainer.
777X was launched around 2016, who say it's been a decade-long program know nothing. I think 777X is part of 777 program but St Louis is the headquarter for BA military program so it's such an id--t to think of moving the 777X management to St Louis.
It was a mistake to transfer 777X Program management from Seattle to St. Louis several years ago.
