Thread regarding Optum layoffs

No one is safe!

Basically we can all be sure of only one thing and that is that no one here is safe.

Judging by the behavior of my superior, everything indicates that I am a target for the cuts very soon. I take his drastic change in behavior as a big red flag.

I'm not particularly worried because I have some savings, but I'm still wondering if there were any signs that indicated you were going to be on the layoff list?

I think they are trying to save their own a**! They book themselves dawn til dusk so as to look busy and irreplaceable. I don’t know how much pull the managers actually have to keep or layoff certain individuals? The Unvaxxed, it seems by recent revelations of widespread bias and propaganda by ALL media outlets are the wisest of they bunch. They will gain employment in short order!

If they can move a job offshore they will so if you are an American you are not safe.

Some signs you are on the list and should watch for:

  1. ) You might not get invited to meetings that you normally would be at
  2. ) You might not be included on emails about future projects
  3. ) You might be moved off a project and substituted by someone else
  4. ) Your colleagues might start treating you differently for no apparent reason

I didn't realize it then, but I see it now.. My manager wanted 4 people to learn my job. Mine and my leads. We were the only two that did it. When I said.."I'd like to learn what they do", he said "it's not necessary". They will NEVER admit it, but they are feeling my absence. Most of the people that are remaining are a joke! I'm thankful!
