I am disappointed with Broadcom to the max. Does this company have any long term goals at all or are those at the top focused only on short term results?
It seems to me that Broadcom is stuck in the past and that the leadership has completely lost its compass. After I leave, I would like to come here for just one day, maybe in two years, just to see how things are.
Maybe things are great on the hardware side but everyone in software is miserable except leadership who gets the real reward$.
There is a ton of synergy between business from a customer base to the infrastructure to produce the products (Common fab, same bump houses across BUs, same test houses across BUs, etc.)
Broadcom has a great business model if you're at the top. You buy companies with stable, sticky products that are hard to migrate away from, gut them, use scare tactics to make it seem like the company is doing you a favor by employing you, and then raise prices on customers and throw the support experience in the trash. They just buy IP and maximize every penny on big dollar customers. It's fine if you're into that, but don't expect any innovation.
Hoc just wants to juice any oranges in his farms, then throw the oranges.
long term goals are sustainable profits. we are not a tech business but a portfolio of fiefdoms. think private equity man... there's zero, absolutely ZERO synergy across business, even in the "software" side of the house...that part is a complete joke....
