Staffing for Apple Launch/Holiday Season

Hearing a lot of stores are worried about how they will get through this fall and apple launch with a well depleted staff. Is this true/false?

What is it with these recent high school graduate new hires that can't freaking talk to customers?!? You would think they would have enough sense to listen to the tenured peoples talk track. But no, they just out spouting gibberish not knowing what in the heck they are talking about and telling customers inaccurate information.

Yeah super concerned. We still have modified hours because our staffing. 3 new hires that can barely tell their bu-t from the face. All 3 can barely communicate with other humans. I think the first transaction I get I'm going to bunk it so bad that either I get stuck with it all day or the manager takes over and I do it to the next one. In no way is it worth it to work harder or actually try. The only savior for us is if the supply is so limited it doesn't matter. Sorry, all out. Last iphone launch we had 18 reps, now we will be lucky to have 5. If I had any sick time I'd call out. However I think I might just come down with some serious covid symptoms that day. What are they going to do? fire you? Oh no, I found another job.

I don’t GAF how busy it gets I will still work at my one speed and continue to take my breaks. Verizon doesn’t care about us with the low staffing levels I don’t care about them . Most stores do have low head count but some have been able to retain new hires. It’s pointless going into 4th quarter because it will take several months before they can handle anything on their own. They will be lucky to get through 1 customer per hour so you know I’m not stressing myself out.

I'm a litleco concerned because every one of my new hires has quit so we are back to square one at my store. And considering this one team BS and how atrocious RIS will be I'm just gonna treat it like any other day. I will give 0 fu--s about wait time, etc. These people better buy their sh-t online and deal with stores being short staffed just like all the surrounding business around me.
