Finally Raises

Heard raises will happen in October (TBD on %).
Hopefully it is over 3% (inflation is well over 5% since the last raise).

And, all the country club memberships are being taken away without any Comp to make up for it. It is all about cost savings now folks. Not sure if that applies to OCE members or those @ Corporate StL. I wonder now if Lal will get an Augusta National membership now that he and DNF have fallen out. I doubt DNF would recommend him.

Wallstreet doesn’t like to see companies give raises. If you think this company cares about anything other than Wallstreet, you’re mistaken.

Only way you will receive > 2.8-3% merit increase is if you are:

A) Already grossly under compensated. You are in the bottom 50th percentile of your pay grade range and are rated exceeds/outstanding employee. In this case a 3-5% increase on peanuts is still peanuts.
B) A favorite of exec mgmt/HR or in a targeted or preferred demographic group
C) In a department pool with incompetent teammates who are below expectations and on a Performance improvement plan (PIP).
D) Threaten to leave and they cannot backfill or go without your role

Otherwise expect to receive a merit increase that has already been deferred for far too long and is below CPI. 5% LOL
