I understand a lot of people are worried about their job and will blow this off. However something needs to be done to stop the control over our civil liberties. I’m proposing that everyone walks out in solidarity or calls in if/when we get the email stating the powers that be at marathon are mandating the employees to take that shot. This include people that are already vaccinated. They talk about family and how we are a team. In reality the team/family is actually the essential workers that kept this company running. If you do not want to support this I understand, but it will only escalate until they have complete control.

CEO announced that vaccinations will not be mandatory but reporting of vaccination status will be mandatory.
Before all the snowflakes start melting, there are several disclosure, including medical, that employers are allowed to request/demand form their employees.
It was mentioned that mandatory reporting is due to stocking up on tests. I am vaxed but I may report as non-vaxxed to get the free tests.
This supposed "mandate" will never fly. Unless of course the goal is to replace workers with lower paid staff.

If you truly believe they were laid off due to covid ok. That is your choice. You do understand if we walk we know they can terminate us. Marathon is not the only way a skilled position is able to make a living.
You are right... it is about your choice. You get to choose to walk out if Marathon mandates the vaccine for all employees and they can also make the choice to terminate your position if you do so. At least those of us who are left get to choose, unlike the employees who were tapped last fall due to covid. I am sure if they knew their job would have been saved they would have taken the shot.
