Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Reinvestments

There is a lot of talk about GE selling things. I wouldn't like to enter a discussion about whether many of the rumors and media headlines are true, but I am hypothetically interested in where the money could be reinvested?

Nothing, its just to pay down debt. Once that's done then they can reinvest. 2-3 more years.

Company is called General Electric. Get back to roots of powering the new world. The cleantech energy transition is the largest potential market of upcoming 30 years by far. Sell EVERYTHING except Renewables and reinvest in Charging Infra, alt fuels, new modular nuke. Sell Aviation to Boeing or something, its a great business in a small niche market that is shrinking.

Reinvested into the CEO’s bonus! The money will go into stock holders bonuses. Don’t think you will get any be lucky to keep your job for now.
