Saw this coming 5 years ago. Corporate wants FT/PT ratio at 30/70 in the stores. This helps make that happen. We are headed to the point where if you want to be full-time in the stores and have insurance/benefits, you’re going to have to step up and be a department supervisor.
It’s the proverbial “writing on the wall”, don’t you think? Lowe’s has been systematically eliminating the higher paid positions with benefits for quite some time. It’s not going to get any better, only worse.
