Just because I'm getting a bonus or a wage increase doesn't mean my job is safe. Now keep saying it until you start believing it because it's the truth. Ask some of the people from previous layoff rounds if you don't believe me. Even a promotion means nothing if your name is on the list. My former coworker was laid off less than a month after being promoted. When will people learn that there is no such thing as safe at GE?
