I think I have asked this question before but it went over your heads and I am not sure if you guys understood my question. We need to know if this is going on at all stores or just ours. Our schedules are constantly changing. Sometimes at the last minute. Sometimes the days are completely switched. No manager is fessing up to it. We think it’s the store manager. We are all ready to quit over this. Some have other jobs or appointments and they are acting like we are firemen...just be ready to work at any time! It’s really not funny..it’s wrong.

We had a manager who made false customer complaints on employees, she did this for years until one time she accidentally called in a customer compliant and forgot to block her phone number, the corporate office had caller ID and she was busted. What made it so bad is she called from her home phone so her full name popped up on the caller ID.
If you are in California contact the California State Labor Board. Sears tried the same thing. The Labor Board came in, told Sears they couldn't do it, and put a stop to it.
Store Managers typically change schedules at the last minute to push associates out, once a schedule is posted, it can't be changed, you can call and report it.
They can't even make a decent schedule. We come in and cover the department ourselves. The managers are unaware until the day it happens. "Oh we didn't know what we going to do"....Its a total sh-t show...
Mirror mirror on the wall, Which Macy's Manager is the shadiest of all? Are new Managers shadier than the old Managers? (Vote!) Does your Manager deserve the "Red Badge of Courage"?
The only people who have access to edit schedules are the store managers, the mba’s and the ovm’s. I’m not totally sure but I don’t think ovm’s have access to the sales floor part of schedules. The CSX managers do bit have access to schedules. Not saying they are not asking or they don’t know the schedules are being adjusted, just saying they are not physically doing it.
Whomever is doing this, it’s not right at all if they are not asking the colleagues first.
File a complaint and ask to have your schedule checked for changes. They can look at the history in the schedule system and see who changed it, and when. Then go after them.
I quit recently had enough this happens all the time
Why can’t employers just do the right things - instead employees have to pay a union to help them with things like this - having their schedules changed behind their backs without even asking first. Yeeesh
its simple.. they a railroading all of you... they are making the job to stressful that you quit.. then they replace you with a lower cost person.. which is the end goal..
The managers are always lying. Your manager is editing the schedules. Happens with me too. Thankfully, I work at an union store and managers aren’t allowed to edit the schedule 2 days after it comes out. I’ve had managers change my schedules at later times but I’ve printed and screenshot the schedules so if that happens, I can stick to my original schedule per the union. The managers decide what edits to do and they either do it themselves or give it to AST to do.
