I have a runner who’s work for Macy’s for 3 years. He’s beyond lazy. Sits around and gossiping all the time. Barely works. He also clicks off of high end shoes and boots every time I send a request . I had to go in the back only to find him standing there doing nothing and he told me he didn’t find the shoes in stockroom. I walked around and found all 5 Mk boots total price of over $500. I took the boots out to customer and they ended up buying over $300 worth of mk boots. If I didn’t
Intervene with the process which this runner should of gotten the shoes I would of lost that $300 dollar sale. I have complained as other have also about him. And nothing changes.

Back in the day we did not have runners. We got our own shoes and made more money. We didn't have to "pay" for the service in reduced commission. The idea with runners and the electronic inventory system is that there are less mismates and better inventory control. However, it depends on having good people working the back room. The reality is that it still depends on the people.
He’s friends with a former shoe stock manager who they put on the floor as a lead. This b-m runner works outside shoes and is a b-m in all the depts he works in He doesn’t smiles. Figures out how to do nothing when no ones around. Gossip about former employees and coworkers. To me he should be fired for clicking off of the shoes when clearly they are in stock. He’s loosing money for the company. This b-m has been here for 3 yrs and has others in shoe complaining about him to manager that say we will look at his numbers but nothing happens
Are you one of those people who do everything, know everything? People don't do anything because you tell them it's wrong and you criticize everything they do. Try to communicate and not shut down everything people do. This individual is avoiding you to not have confrontation.
is this runner related to someone in Upper management? Amazing that people like this can still have a job and not get called out. Must be a reason why this person is still around and able to slack off. Obvious answer is yes to terminate, but my feeling is something else going on here as if they're afraid to let him go. Could be wrong but I've seen it before.
