I don’t care who says things are looking good at 273 and 66. The layoffs will be here sooner than you think. The writing is on the GE wall. Slowly over time there will be no jobs here. Once all the service contracts are legally fulfilled Schenectady will be closed. Until then GE will eliminate jobs slowly. New builds are way down sales are way down. The only way for Power in Schenectady to generate positive numbers is to layoff a large portion of the current production side. Don’t expect to be called back like last round of layoffs. Seeing how that those same people are hitting the streets again.

Target distribution is hiring $27.50 hr and Walmart DC is hiring $26.50 hr. Your union is working hard for you and don’t you forget it! So keep buying what they are selling and pay them to sell you this misinformation.
