I left the UP 7 months ago and it was a good decision that I made. Grass isn't always greener on the other side. This time it was. I'm much happier and not depressed as I have been in the past.

Best decision anyone can make. The place is a doomsday machine and the ending will not be good. If you get a chance get out and don't look back.
I left 6 months ago and am very happy with my decision. Usually when I talk to someone I used to work with they start complaining about UP within 2 minutes. Never fails. Leaving is a big decision but your life will be a lot better for it. Do it!
i was depressed after i left UP, but i came back and i love this company. i want to be the senior manager of the diesel shop and lube myself up with oil
Good for you, seems that you were smart enough to leave a company here you are seen as a commodity and nothing more. I also left two years ago and now wish I had left many years before. I missed so much with my family, so much of life, and for what? To finally realize I need to find a way to enjoy the remainder of my career and life. Never happier and don’t miss anything about UP except some of the people I worked with.
