Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This is not a new thing

When people start bemoaning that Intel has changed for the worse and that it now puts profits over people I can't help but laugh. What rock have you been living under? Intel has ALWAYS put profits over people. Many things might have changed but that one stayed the same. Talk about revisionist history.

Tbh Intel has always abused its customers, its suppliers, and its competitors. But abusing its employees is a relatively new behavior. Then again, I’ve only been with Intel for about 15 years so I’m not familiar with how it treated employees before my time. I do recall hearing about a massive layoff in 2006/2007 (SET?) so maybe you’re right. But as intel isn’t the dominant tech company anymore, the total compensation now stinks compared with peers, and the RSU is sad due to the stagnant stock price.

@OP How to put this? You are wrong. Maybe from a mid-level or higher it appears this way. Those doing the real work have experienced crippling cost cuts under BK and Bob. Hopefully the new CEO can turn this around.
