That they misuse their power
Promotions and positions are filled as favors to other leaders, not for company interest.
And they don’t even try to disguise the behavior.

If this was McDonalds and the positions were being given out as favors that would be different. As nearly anyone can be quickly trained to flip burgers.

The positions they are filling with unqualified people as favors actually do require skills and aptitude. The unqualified do irreparable harm to the company, all the while the leadership ranks cover it up.

Sadly employee apathy grows exponentially as they watch the leadership antics

Totally disingenuous. I guess that comes with the narcissistic back stabbers they premote. And they are so proud of themselves that they have to reshape something that works fine just to put their name on it. Basically a bunch of children playing Legos but they don't know how to match up the right pieces.

They create cults of personality to idolize themselves at the expense of company & country.

They are not leaders but managers. Living off the coat tails of the F-Series since the early 2000s. Totally out of touch with what the customer wants. Since the demise of the original Explorer and the fact that after Ford 2000 they refused to update the Ranger tells you a story. Prior to 2000CY Ford had three plants building Rangers.. Only to bring it back decades later. What kind of senior people do we have? F-Series pricing out of control. Sorry but Billy is no where near inspirational. Sorry he is boring. JF well I give him a year to see what is his plan and vision for the company. You need for the other platforms to contribute to the profits. 90+% comes from F-Series.

Creating and maintaining a perpetual Culture of mediocrity, toxicity and fear all the while proclaiming how great thou art.

Where does one start? I will try...…

The toxic work environment(s) they created. They are management not leadership (as many pointed out). The incompetency of management with all the recalls. The woke culture. The talking out of both sides of their mouth. The blatant lies of the health of the company by manipulating profits. Nepotism. The destruction of brand loyalty. The many layers of needless/useless management. The favoritism towards certain 'groups.' The constant 'headcount' reduction environment.

I'm sure I forgot many, so feel free to pile on how far this company has fallen.

@vzi
I agree. Also I would add, Ford has the ability to take in the best and then turn them into ordinary.

From previous poster: "They run the company the same way they run the Lions. "

Well, everyone should give the Ford family some credit -- they are consistent with poor leadership!

They run the company the same way they run the Lions. Now I understand why Barry Sanders and Megatron retired.

First, I'd never call them leadership because they don’t have any leadership skills. They've turned Ford into a company in which an ordinary employee who works hard and has skills and knowledge is not valued at all.
