Layoff for provider network management: contractors, developers, leads, and supervisors. President said during the meeting "it's business as usual for now". I'll have what she's smoking. Optum needs to save money after a few egregious business decisions over the last 2 years. Those people still have jobs, and some were promoted. Over 130 people are now competing for 28 comparable jobs. Their other recommended replacement jobs are horribly underpaid postings for UHC. There you'll be micromanaged to death, deal with incompetent leadership (worse than Optum), required weekends, and no pto during peak times (aka holidays). Rather be unemployed for a bit to find something better.

Capitalism at it's best right? We're just the sheeple caught up in the matrix right? Just read the first response to this post their mind is stuck on take it up the ar-e and Obey! Lmao
What? Stood up on a desk (literally) and said to go home? Someone has watched Norma Rae too many times or somehow confused Dead Poets Society with real life. That doesn't even happen in factories in the first world let alone what sounds like a pissy third world call center tirade. Tied to a US company? As opposed to being tied to a foreign company operating in the US? The self loathing never gets old. Seriously, what movie did this bu-----t come from? Love the socialist cr-p on here post after post of America bad, rest of the world good, from their safe spaces US universities gave them that their parents paid for. Never gets old, nope, not at all. Because they think they are of the elites, the untouchables, the ones on 'their side'. News flash, useful id--ts, you are being played. Congrats. Can't wait for your bootlicking rebuttle and boomer come backs. News flash, no one identifies who they are by their job in the real world. It's a job. It's done to get paid to be able to do other things in life and make small talk. It pays for things that matter like a family, dogs, hobbies, etc. Only a-s hats and narcissistic a-s holes who want to be assigned jobs to feel meaningful (your goal for the rest of us, but of course would never happen to such a bright mind as yours, and the rest of the useful id--ts who all think the same way) need to be dignified by titles. The rest of us just get along doing what needs to be done. Work. But alas if whatever business doesn't wipe your a-s for you, confirm every decision, or bend a knee to every demand they are horrible capitalist pig dogs worthy of your scorn. End of the day, it's a job. Don't like it, find something else to do. Don't like work, become a socialist. Otherwise shut the fu-k up, quit whining about evil empires and find something that pays for what you want to do that you are good at. Work is exactly that, work. It pays the bills and have something left over to do something else. Don't like it, start your own company.
People who make their job their identity are like that fish that loves it's tank. They don't even know what's going on out in the real world. Their entire self worth is tied to a US company job that can go away tomorrow-that's America-a cesspool. And the challenge is, those people look at people who's priorities are outside of work as some how broken. One moment,we were all about our jobs and future, and the next, the US corporate "executive" clowns walked in stood up on a desk (literally) and told us all to go home. Corporate slaves living under US illusions making their bosses rich, while the employees continue to lie themselves and brag about their exploitations (working long hours, no contracts, no pensions, etc...)
ANYTHING is better than that farce of a company.
