People will publicly take credit for your work. If you work hard and aren't part of whatever "club", just know that someone else will pass off your work as their own. I actually think this is the worst I have ever seen this behavior at NM although its always been somewhat there. Get out while you can, so you don't end up demotivated and bitter.
