With hospitalizations up and ICUs nearing capacity I hope Oxy reconsiders the September 7th return to work.
And to all the naysayers consider the following: this is not about COVID. If you are in a car wreck, have a heat attack, stroke anaphylactic shock and there’s no room in the ICU you will die.

Unless you are in a special medical situation Get the vaccine and suck it up. WFH was for the pandemic. Our world in Texas is open and back to normal. Get to work and recognize WFH was only temporary to keep the company going and you employed through the pandemic.
Must be nice to stay home through Sept 7th. I had to go back June 2nd. All this special treatment is BS. People thar are medically unable to come back is understandable, and if you have compromised kids as well. People have had time to find child care, so we all need to be back. If you don’t want the vaccine then quit. Think of others.
OP is simply making stuff up in order to make a point. Just ignore it all.
You're saying that if Oxy doesn't return to the office in September, there will be more ICU beds available. Really? How many more?
There is room in the ICU. To say otherwise is simply false and you know it.
Going into the office is pointless right now. I don't think we should work from home all the time forever, but getting dressed and driving in is currently a huge waste.
Many of us have been at work for the past year and most people are back at work right now. If you are sitting at home fretting about returning to work, you are in the minority and we don’t care about your opinion. Get back to work now instead of waiting until September.
Approximately how many people are still working from home? Why does the company apply different policies to different groups? I was required and have been working from office since June 2nd.
This virus will eventually run its course and peter out. Plus immunities are being built up and have been against this virus for some time now. No need for such panic over the variants but always exercise caution and lets do more WFH till end of 2021.
I agree. Let us work from home the commute in Houston is unbearable and we are living in the age of the internet, it’s just time.
All people who can get the vaccine should get it. Without delay.
