Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

How many of you folks actually work here?

And how many of you are just previously affiliated with the company? (And are sitting outside watching the fireworks with popcorn waiting to see who else makes it out of the building)

Former employee here -- I was laid off and drank the kool-aid until then. It was during the interviewing process with other companies that I realized 'DAMN I WAS ABUSED' and 'HOLY SH%^ MY DEPT WAS A BUNCH OF TOXIC A-HOLES'. I visit this site to remind me to thank the universe for stepping in.

Left Teradata when I turned down the move package to San Deigo. Stayed back in Dayton and got a much better paying job. The new work environment is so innovate and positive. I am so happy to have a better job than moving to CA and deal with sky high mortage for a measly pay hike.

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

I worked at Teradata for a few years. I observed the circus - the monkeys, the clowns the dolphins. There was, and still is, a constant change of leadership.

But the one thing I have failed to see is any enduring desire or leadership around implementation. What was hat last bit of innovation that was released (and adopted)

It's a mess, a real mess. How long can it continue? Till the cash runs out, I guess!

I worked for Teradata for 28 years. I was laid off and it was the best thing that could have happened. Got a great job with a great company for more money. Teradactyl will slowly circle the drain and quality people are getting out as soon as they can.

For the majority of us it's more like sipping hot tea in the lifeboat watching the Titanic sink
