Thread regarding FARO Technologies Inc. layoffs

Big plans and more layoffs

Faro finally announced that worldwide assembly will be outsourced overseas to Sanmina Corp. Sanmina offers virtually every service that Faro offers. This includes Warranty Service and Engineering. Management at the top obviously has had a plan for awhile. That’s how these changes progress. It’s all about money, not people. Even Covid cases aren’t thoroughly investigated.

Faro is absolutely, positively the worst company I have ever worked for. Maybe it was just when I worked there. I was told the employees used to get bonuses and were appreciated for their work. If you plan on applying for a job, trust me, don’t buy the BS. Management clearly thinks the employees are stupid and lies to their face. Faro will be 100% Samina soon. It’s no secret. Management, stop lying!

Funny how at least several people are hearing the same “rumors” during unexplained/unexpected restructuring. In my opinion, management discrediting/discouraging rumors is disrespectful. These rumors are discussed between human beings in the same boat, with families, worried about their financial future. C’mon management, wake up!

Who cares? Not me. Lake Mary is a miserable work environment.

Who is it that cares? Low level employees are treated like garbage. People resigning weekly, leaving the weak severance package on the table. Never worked for a company who mistreated their employees as much as what is happening currently. FARO was once a great place to work, now the morale could not be any lower. Cannot wait till karma pays a visit to Berger and all his west coast cronies.

I’ve heard that outsourcing will continue beyond production. There are indeed people in upper management that care enough about the employees...
