FAA is unwilling to certify the Boeing 777X

The regulatory agency has informed Boeing that it won’t give Boeing
Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) for the 777-9 unless the airframer
provides evidence that it has conclusively solved a number of software
and hardware issues.
The FAA had signaled this in a letter to Boeing on May 13,
The Seattle Times and Reuters have reported on June 27.

This is a clear signal to Boeing that the regulatory agency will longer function as
Boeing’s coconspirator in covering-up their shoddy workmanship and unethical
business practices.

There is No evidence that the 777-9 meets safety assessment:
Nor has Boeing been able to provide evidence that the 777-9 meets the
Preliminary Safety Assessment.
Which means that Boeing doesn’t meet its own TIA criteria.
There is insufficient and inadequate data available to file the
Certification Flight Test Plans for this phase of TIA.
An assessment of CCS concluded that “data is not yet mature enough to show
Compliance.
Listed are many open problems against the safety documentation, assessments,
and requirements”.
It also notes that the analysis included incorrect use of data from the Boeing 787
This is a clear sign of more criminal intent or gross negligence and incompetence.

Can you blame the FAA after Boeing threw them under the bus during the 737 max debacle.

Once they get the engines and flight control systems figured out in a few years this could be a very good airplane.

Looks like, the only co-conspirators Boeing can count on now are its unions.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ °)

Would it be big layoff in Everett after this announcement. Look like there's only 767 line for the KC-46 tanker and some remaining 777 in the order backlog.

Boeing 777X Certification Delayed To 2023 After FAA Notification
June 27, 2021 9:24pm ET
The letter, sent May 13 and reviewed by The Seattle Times,
cites multiple issues with the aircraft.
Perhaps most notable is an incident during a December 2020 test flight when
the aircraft performed an “un-commanded pitch event” when the nose of the
aircraft pitched abruptly up or down without pilot input.
Boeing has yet to confirm that it fully understands and has corrected the
problem that occurred that day.

“un-commanded pitch event” --- Sounds like the Max all over again…
And There’s Boeing, still trying to get the FAA to certify Boeing garbage.
Oh but we’ve change, we’ve learned so many valuable lessons from the Max.
LIARS.
How could this happen to what was once a great company?
It started by firing anyone who would raise a red flag putting a speed bump
on the road to PROFIT, board compensation and bonuses.

I think they should send it to South Carolina. The $15 bucks an hour certainly couldn't hurt! LOL

The free pass Boeing enjoyed for decades with the FAA is over. Everything is submitted for certification will be gone over with a microscope particularly cockpit pilot controls. They have no one else to blame but themselves.
