Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Too many complaints. Not enough solutions.

While this site used to be more targeted towards leaked info on realignments and structural changes this past year there have been an overwhelming about of complaints and negative attitudes. No one is simply thankful to still have their job.

Time are tough. They will be for a while. There is always to option to move on to something that will make you happy where ever that may be.

Why can’t we all change the tone of this form to help those with struggling with issues and questions their find solutions to their problems? The cynicism is only making our work life worse.

Agree with the poster and others. Some folks complain to complain, it's their nature. On the other side of the coin, Macys takes a beating on this website and others. From customers and associates. The culture of Macys is not a positive one as a whole and in most locations.

Its easy for you to say that about Lucky you have a job.does that mean you should work like a dog and have no life, working morning, noon and night.closing every weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 40 years of service. Getting the worst schedule after that length of service .having to fight to get your vacations.hiring people at high rate when employees that have worked for years are getting less money than new employees

Yeah, times are tough for Macy's, must be hilarious sitting around the board room (or are you still working from home), getting the latest updates on why Macy's can't find anyone to work at its stores. It's not the Phoenix (which is terrible), it's not the environment (also terrible), its the unwillingness to pay a fair wage to the people we want to work here.

A person is not going to make North of 40K ringing customers, recovery and the like. Not without staying way to long with a retailer.

Macy's is the one that should be thankful to have anybody willing to work for the worst paying company in the retail industry!

People might be thankful to have a job if Macy's just paid a decent wage!
