Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Is it Outsourcing when it's to another TR office.

A friend of mine told me about 10 years ago that TR would soon be shipping jobs overseas. He was retired from Dow Chemical Corporate. I argued with him that it would not happen here (Tax & Accounting) our officers are smarter than that. Actual quote from him, "They can force out anyone not on board. Some corporate honcho will come up with a plan and it will happen." Well, what's happening now. Lay off in the US and/or Canada and move positions to India or Southeast Asia.

Technically no, but I feel when you start making your products in a place where they aren't even sold especially for the sole purpose of labor costs then it's a very blurry line.
