Why are you forcing your current employees to work mandatory overtime and weekends when there are so many laid off Boeing employees waiting to get recalled?

It’s because they don’t want to pay benefits for a new employee. Same reason I want to put work in South Carolina instead of Washington. Employees cost less because to have worst benefits. The same reason they layoff older workers because they tend to have higher healthcare costs. Boeing has no ethics, the fact it’s immoral to discriminate based on someone’s health care cost it’s obvious they do it.
Money. Do the math. Its cheaper to have someone stay 2 hrs late than to call someone back, give them 8hrs pay for 2 hrs of work and pay their medical.
It’s called $crewing the people left to do all the work. Ride everyone into the ground for profit. What happened to all those people over rate banners that were posted all over the place?
It's called LEAN which is a concept where the amount of work remains the same but is completed by fewer people. This allows for favorable marks on managerial scorecards through an illusion that a process has become more efficient.
Phuck em’, we want the overtime!
