We enforce policy by switch from an unlimited Outlook365 to cheap plan
that stop use of calendar on Monday.

Anticipationing of stuffed calendars, meeting starting time is
extended for 7:30am thru 8:45 pm. All time zones.

You must make Monday email on diet. Create and reply emails on
Sunday, because rest of week is occupy by meetings to help your
productivity.

There are pilots for no meeting Fridays to allow people to catch up, or de-stress or enable you to handle your workload better. We have been doing this for a couple of months. Yes, you could end up with more meetings on other days but it does allow you to wind down before the weekend. If it doesn’t work for you then give your feedback. I think it’s good that VMware are trying to find ways to help the employees.

Department. One of the BU's engineering departments started no meeting Fridays as of this week.
At this rate, we'll all be working 3 days/12 hour shifts just for meetings.

Heaven help anyone that needs to whiteboard something with another team.

Just to make sure I understand what you are saying, are you saying that there is now a policy at VMW to prohibit Monday meetings? Is that for the entire company or just a certain department?
