With all due respect, I sometimes don’t understand people complaining about working conditions in their store (which we might conclude will close very soon), but not looking for a new job or not making it their top priority. Maybe they are still hoping and convincing themselves that the closure will not happen despite the very clear signs that point to it?

Always have to keep looking regardless if you think you’re doing well and are well liked or the opposite. I was part of the Macy’s Tech Field team that was let go a little over 2 years ago. We did nothing wrong and a majority had high performance ratings but because of the declining sales numbers and looking to save costs we were downsized. I think it was a mistake they should have cut some but not all. Oh well still at my current employer doing whatever I can to support and stay relevant , keep Management happy.
