Not a single reply pertaining to the ops title.Why does this site always turn into a Union bash/rant from either side.Does ANYONE have any thoughts for or against the Original post?What were youre personal experiences during the pandemic as an employee?I can tell you it was business as usual for us.SCs and Installs at bars,gyms,hospices,assisted living homes etc.We were also the chosen to question customers heath and safety,when this should have been done by the company not the employees.We did not create the policy,yet we were forced to enact it.Yet again all the responsibility was shouldered by the workers in the field.Seeing how other companies in Telecom reacted to the situation,as a whole we did very poor by the employees.Essential?Did we get any priority designation for vaccines?I think not.Those of us that didnt lose our jobs,had too unnecessarily put ourselves in harms way so the company could enjoy record sub growth.We did more volume,with way less bodies.Yet noone can understand the high volume of workers quitting their jobs and not returning to work.SMH
The guys in Suffolk county know this job is over really soon. They left for a normal career. Not some bu-----t cable co that can not run a business
AGAIN every one has it backwards it was take the package and go or risk being laid off. Union had no answers. So if you were not in these guys boots Don’t say a fu----g thing. Union DID NOTHING TO HELP US. Our own management team said to leave! Guess what AS OF THIS MONTH THERE SLL GONE SO YOU TELL ME THIS WHAT IS THE MALFUNCTION BU-----T HERE? I want a refund, UNION IS A JOKE
Let me get this straight you never chose to protect your benefits you got pushed around by the company until you got fed up, and the people that did not want a union took a voluntary retirement 🤔 which is suspect in itself and your blaming the union that just got in. If the union wants members why would they want members to take a package please explain because the concept eludes me.
What about the 50+ Non union Suffolk techs that took the voluntary too. Did the union tell them to do it too?
Stop . Field service took a voluntary . Let’s not confuse the facts. Union did it tell them to go. They all decided on their own. Only the osp at will non union guys and a few construction Union guys got let go w out a choice. Union got construction back. Osp had to reapply . Pretty sure the large number of guys that got “clipped” clipped themselves bc of pandemic and extreme amount of work load . To say the ibew gave them no answers and didn’t stop them from voluntarily leaving us ridiculous.
This is all Bu-----t Union had no clue what to say???. We were told take the package by the union or risk nothing in July. So don’t say union could not help. Useless as I thought from beginning but I don’t have to worry about this SCAB OF A JOB I got something 100 times better with a pension not a bull sh-t 401k that could be gone tomorrow. Believe me a lot of people are upset with last year’s ALTICE cut parade
Wrong they did not want to go. Union had no clue or answer for any one of them. Don’t assume

Strange all questions were deleted Again where was the Union last year when over45 guys got clipped and union dues went up. Any chance of an answer or I guess this will be deleted as well Families are definitely dependent on help? So what Is the answer
