Be prepared to give up the work-life balance (actually, if you are single and have no life you're going to feel right at home,) do several jobs for the price of one as people leave and nobody replaces them, forget about job security, and work for people who have no idea how to do their jobs, among many other things. Truly a great opportunity, right?

There are jobs with better pay in other growing industries where it’s not cyclical like oil & gas. Simple as that.
I just feel sorry for the graduates that choose to come into this industry thinking it’s going to be like what it use to be with training at 5 star hotels. They’re in for a very rude awakening.

You are getting an inflated salary to perform a service that will soon be off shored or replaced by AI.
You don't work for a charity or operate under duress. The labor market it fluid. If you don't like the life you have chosen for yourself, go get another job that suits you better.
