I was above mid point and earned 3 on evals and still got less then those earning 2 bc they will below midpoint. It’s CS liberal method of making everything equal. Sc--w those that perform you paid to get and reward half a$$ effort you really didn’t need.

Yes, they penalize you for working hard and actually doing your job. Bc I was in the upper end of my grade range the liberal view of making everything equal impacted me greatly. Those in the bottom range end up with more increase since there goal is to have everyone at midpoint.

You can rest assured the executives didn’t get 2.5% for subpar performance and with the awarded options &100% bonus. They are laughing at what saps the peons are.

The increase is tied to your performance rating. There are 4 levels (from 4, walks on water, to 1, needs improvement, and each has a separate target %. The target % for level 2 (solid performer) is lower than for level 3. You may also be impacted by the budget provided to your manager (i.e., steal from Peter to pay Paul) since every manager has a total budget for all direct reports.

If you hit the top of your salary range, CommScope gives you nothing (!) no matter how hard you work and how well you do. That, IMO, is the most horrendous thing any company can do to an employee! Any manager who does not go above and beyond to take care of their direct reports is, IMO, politically motivated. They know that politics works better for them and that CommScope management generally does nothing for (or punishes) managers who fight for their direct reports).
