As a manager why am I being pushed to hire a woman or a person of color even when I have great applicants who are not in those categories? Very unfair and sounds borderline illegal to me. I'm documenting and suggest others do the same.

Anyone else notice this trend picking up this year?

Same, this is being pushed straight from the top. DIE-versity it is and hey are now feeding us propaganda materials about it. This company will go the way of the elite schools who were sued. If you're white or asian it's harder to get in and you need even higher scores. Same with promotions now.

Filling positions based on some quota which is what they are doing (they never use the "Q" word, but believe me that's what is happening) is against the law.
