I’m struggling to see Heritage XTO people (that are left) ascend to leadership positions. I want to believe that it’s not a coincidence but the “invisible hand” is always at play. Am I taking crazy pills or is this really happening?

Heritage XTO are the first to go
Did the same thing to h-Mobil managers after merger. By 2004 only a handful of Mobil managers remained in those positions-a few young ones and a few woman.
You are not crazy and if you look at all the people on the NSI list that were PIP'd or let go the last few years you will see the same pattern.
