I’m leaving the company and negotiating a job offer which includes a move back to Houston. What have others been able to negotiate? Package covers pretty much everything other than home sale value loss. It isn’t a deal breaker but would sure be nice since Houston home prices have risen while my house in Midland has declined in value since I bought it in 2018.

Pick up "Never Split the Difference." Focus on things that they cannot change. You won't seem greedy, and they will offer more cash.
I found that a lot of companies won’t budge on a lot of benefits, including vacation and relocation. They just stick with their set policy. But when I tried, they would usually come back offering more sign-on cash or equity.
If the new employer relocation package doesn't include various items, consider asking for a cash sign-on bonus to address those needs. It never hurts to ask.
My new gig has commission built in. Can't complain about that.
Never hurts to ask. What company you moving to?
