Weatherbeater exterior paint was promoted in the Great American Homes theme.....Historical homes originally belonging to Betsy Ross, Thomas Edison, etc were painted with Weatherbeater Paint and advertised in product literature.
Easy Living was the premium interior paint line.
Back in the 1970's into the 80's, Sears had a large marketshare of the paint business which ended up dwindling down to almost nothing as Big box Home Improvement retailers took market share away from Sears.
I liked the WInnie the Pooh baby clothes Sears used to have. Bought a lot of those when my son was a baby and I worked at Sears (and there was an employee discount)
Craftsman , diehard and Kenmore set the standard for quality and reliability. Weatherbeater paint was just that.. paint. Road handler tires were garbage. The Michelin tires sold by Sears auto were just as good as the original
