Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

What's the best option?

I was thinking of applying at Chevron, they have some openings in my area, but looking at their page here I'm no longer sure that'd be a good idea. They seem to have the kind of toxic environment I'd rather stay away from. But are there any O&G companies that don't have toxic culture and environment?

Might as well just leave the oil/gas and chemicals industry. Oil/gas will always be cyclical and no matter how many cycle these company go thru they still suck at timing it.

Chemicals will become more and more competitive.

Go into semiconductor or tech.

Chevron is very much toxic!! How do I know? I worked there. Find some other company that actually values you as a person / employee. Believe me, it is not Chevron.
