Thread regarding Optum layoffs

2021 Layoffs Continue

Just when you think the dust has settled they have ramped up the layoffs once more. They've hired overseas workers and are laying off USA workers. This company is listed as a USA company, collects money from USA customers BUT they lay off the USA workers who have been with the company for over 10 years. Disgusting!

US employers have very few employment rights. You're employment at whim/will. Only in the US empire. Enjoy all that "freedom"...LOL. Debt slaves. Tax slaves. Hamsters on a wheel. USers.

We have a new platform that failed the original launch and is now due to launch in July. Management is battling it out so they don't get laid off... what a cluster f&#*k! The system they paid 4 million for is total trash! They can't get proper reports from it! I'm LMFAO... lay me off... please!!

Profit is the only game in the hu$tler empire. If they could automate everything they would and they likely will. It's in development. Cheap foreign 3rd world labor to feed the fatcats is the way to go when your god was money

So do you think the company will eventually get rid of all US based employees and only conduct business overseas?

All the singing, hand clapping and parties and p-t luck lunches in the office was what made the job a happier place. Home or in the office what difference does it make. Focus all you want. You’re going to be layed off as well as everyone else.

There were 5 of my colleagues that were affected by the layoffs. They moved on and work for other health care companies and make more money. This place is a toxic waste! I would never refer anyone here. Working remotely is all they have to offer.

Old boomer dinosaures feels their power slipping. Homeworking allows us to focus without being interrupted every 5 minutes by my colleagues and other noises in the open office such as birthday parties, hand clapping, singing, cheers, forced "family" teammate nonsense. etc.
