Anyone hear about merit increases yet?

It's one of the endemic problems that's going to ki-l the company. Merit and effort are never recognized. The only thing that counts is to sell yourself well to your bosses, no matter the customer satisfaction or the effort dedicated to your own evolution.
The mediocrity of the managers makes them prefer to distribute the raise among all the employees, trying to make no one angry, instead of recognizing the real effort.
If you want your merits to be recognized, change companies, threaten that you leave ... or dedicate your effort to sell yourself well internally...doing your job well is secondary
My manager told me that almost no one gets an “exceeded” review. So does that me that almost no one got a merit increase?
2% with an exceeded review
30% increase by switching employers.
Overall, best decision this decade.

I got a 19% increase by switching to a different company. Woohoo! If Teradata doesn't reward excellence, go somewhere that will.

Supposedly you only get it if you got the highest rating possible during performance review. They want to retain talent so anyone that doesn’t get the highest rating should really pay attention to this.
