Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Not getting laid off - prolonging the agony.

Surviving the cycle of layoffs here roughly means prolonging the agony. They usually say that a new job is much easier to find while you already have a job, but there are a lot of those who found a job right after they got cut here much faster than those who are still here and looking for a new job. I guess it’s about those who lose their jobs having a much bigger motive to find a job and prioritize job hunting more.
So, having survived a few rounds of layoffs, I now consider it an unintentional disservice.
