This surprises me a bit, that some people intend to stay here until their store closes. I got several job offers just a month after I started submitting applications. So it's not a problem where it's too hard to find a new job. Staying among the last ones here is the worst thing...

I have no choice but to stay until the store closes, so I can lock up for the night. Thankfully someone else handles unlocking and opening the store in the morning.

There is no golden rainbow for the hanger on’ers. Take another job. Employers were headhunting us months before our closure. Better benefits alone added like $4 to hourly pay. Being part of a company that invests even a tiny bit in anything will feel huge.
