Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I got laid off a year ago. I am tired of having to work for my paycheck. When will I get asked to come back?

I was laid off in the &-36 building close to pain field in Everett We built all the Electrical for the 737, 777 and the 767 I was originally building the 40 harness for the 737 then with the crashes they reduced the amount of employees working the 737 over to the 767 to help them get caught up then the layoffs began. There was never anything said accept bye bye see ya.

I left a couple years ago, voluntarily, before the pandemic. They made a counter offer, but only a putz would take a counter.

Just got a call this morning for a contract job at Boeing in WA. Told them not a chance in he-l.

However, what this means is that they are hiring contract engineers rather than calling SPEEA engineers back. Just thought you all should know.

Oh and leaving, best decision I ever made.

Boeing wants to crush the union in Washington state. Any future work they want to shift to Charleston or St. Louis or possibly Mesa. But most of the future engineering will be done in bowing to Russia. Final assembly Charleston. A lot of people are trying to get education to get out of their aerospace industry.

You need to wait a little bit more bro. Boeing needs to hire a couple of skid marks and then make them
Managers.

Depends on your job code. Are you in Boeing HR or Boeing Ethics? Boeing still have a need for you if you are.
If Engineering Nope
If Manufacturing Nope
If Production Nope

Any jobs directly related to getting the airplane out the door so Boeing can be paid not needed. Only the fluff types like useless managers; Boeing always seems to hire a lot of them and overheard types.

No recall in the near future, it's better to find another jobs outside of WA or Boeing. Though the airline industry may recover, BA employment may not be back to pre-Covid-19 in 1.5 year at earliest. Good luck
