Thread regarding Splunk Inc. layoffs

how messed up is splunk

Everything. I don’t read a lot of good things about the company anymore and just got an offer and am trying to decide. Nepotism, politics, lawsuits, WLB, CURRENT pay.. all of it

LOL very messed up! Splunk has been lying to their customers for 10 years. It's a sinking ship.

My honest opinion.. I’ve worked for a few large tech companies including Splunk.. sure it isn’t perfect, never personally seen any nepotism but maybe that’s because of where I am in the org... there is of course internal politics but I’ve worked in much much worse places.

to the poster below... what is your honest opinion about the company then? I do know that the politics and EXTREME nepotism is real, and many people seem lost at their roles.

You haven’t come to the right place for a balanced and honest view of Splunk but going by the way you phrased your question I doubt you are looking for one.

Options about the company don't matter it's going out of business and can't be saved.

Not too bad. My coworker and I came over from previous company to work with manager (former colleagues) and it has been good so far.

Very messed up. I had a coworker who went there a few months ago as an SRE in their cloud group and he says it's a disaster. Splunk has no future they aren't a fat company their cloud transition has been going on for 7 years at least and it's a disaster. I worked there and it was a disaster and I know all their dirt so unless you are unemployed you should join if not continue working and applying for the right roles.
