Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

This is far from a uniquely Oxy thing. This is the way the entire corporate world functions. Everything is about one thing and one thing alone - profit. If they can find somebody to do the same job for less money, be it here or overseas, every company will do it. Be pi---d at Oxy for all the bad decisions they made in the past several years, not for something that is a fact of life everywhere.
