That a way Judge! It is within the employers right to require that certain occupational health and safety standards are met. Those who don’t get the vaccine have the right to not get it but they should not be allowed in the work place without a mask. It will not be a mark against them at all.
Judge just said the Methodist Staff either gets the vaccine per Methodist requirements or they can be fired. Not having a union and working in Texas you are pretty much at the will of your employer. There can be health and religious reasons not to get the vaccine and keep your job, but those just not wanting it will need to find different employment if the company they work for requires it. I understand those not wanting the vaccine and that is their right, but the employer will win out in this case.
Why has the US done so much better than countries like India and Brazil. This could be due to the vaccine. By the way what are you going to say when the vaccine receives full approval? Will you still not get it but for some other reason? Some people like you don’t deserve to be running loose in society. Let’s buy Greenland and ship you all over there to get you the he-l out of this country.
Many people were in the ICU very unnecessarily! Democrat Governors, FRaudci and Big pharma sanctioned the uses of HCQ & Ivermectin. There is alot of research on the effectiveness of these two dr-gs if given early enough. Doctors were ordered not to treat unless the patient could not breathe. That was very unnecessary and against the Hippocratic Oath. Many Many people have been murdered! Social distancing of six feet does not stop the spread of Covid. Covid can go as far as 20 feet, there’s December 2019 studies proving this in China. Why is everyone in LA Infected even with everything shut down and wearing masks inside and outside? States that did not perform these stringent lockdown and masking mandates fared far better than the lockdown and extreme masking states!
To last poster. All we have say is that you are wrong if you think there are other cures for the covid pandemic. Perhaps some have been cured after going through he-l in the ICU but curing a few does not STOP the pandemic. To halt a pandemic you need to stop the transmission via masks and social distancing and also curtail the ability for the virus to reside in the host long enough for transmission. The curtailment of the virus on a host is what the vaccine does by stimulating the bodies immune system.
For those of you gung ho on the covid vaccination under EU, go to Medscape Forum, over 500 Medical Doctors are discussing their own adverse covid vaccination experiences and those of their patients. VAERS has over 5,000 Adverse reported events and that is an exorbitantly high number of adverse events compared to the 50 adverse events from the failed swine flu vaccine which was pulled off of the market after those 50 events. Is it possible the “breakthrough” covid cases resulting from the covid vaccinations are actually from the shots themselves causing the illness its supposed to prevent?
The Covid vaccination should have never been released since other cures e
Exist for Covid. A vaccine can be released under EU IF NO OTHER Cures exist. In this case the democrats , Big pharma and media , dear Fauci-Mengele suppressed the cures to promote vaccines and make money. You are just a guinea pig and a number.
Typical great Oxy communication where the silos dont talk with each other. Corporate sends out email with reasonably* clear instructions on RTW but different BUs implement different guidelines but you have to know the secret smoke signals and handshakes to find out
*reasonableness is in the eye of the beholder
I ain’t going back
Those that don’t want to get vaccinated don’t deserve the VSP. All they might deserve is validated parking at Greenway visitors parking if they come back to talk to HR after they have been terminated.
The mask need to go away. More and more comes out daily that they are useless against the virus. Many just use cloth masks that are not doing anything to protect anyone. Get the vaccine or work from home if you have a valid reason. I could care less who wants to stay home because eventually it will cost them. I have been at the office for two weeks now and it is still like a ghost town. I would not be surprised if they offer some type of VSP before or after Sept 7th. That way those that don’t want to come back can stay and collect the VSP and the APC COC will be up from what I understand and those folks may accept less to get out.
There would be no valid lawsuits as people have the choice to quit or get the vaccine. Employers are not forcing them to get vaccinated. Their choice is to work or not,
"You can’t force people to get an experimental “vaccine”
No, but you can force them to wear a mask if they don't.
You can’t force people to get an experimental “vaccine” for a virus that will probably mutate in 3 months rendering the current vaccine ineffective. Also could you imagine the fallout of Oxy forced employees to get a vaccine and side effects like the J&J came out?
How about this for a policy. Everyone who is vaccinated should be back in the office at least three days a week. If you don’t get the vaccine by an certain date in the near future then you should be furloughed without pay if you don’t have a valid verifiable reason. If you have a medical reason for not getting vaccinated then you could work from home or wear a mask in the office until the percentage of adults within the county where you office is located reaches a certain level. This is a fair policy that could be written down and is probably durable.
Oxy should be embarrassed about this rollout. Talk about a morale drain for those who are forced to come in with absolutely no logical benefit to do so. Way to keep employees motivated.
Wow. This is incredibly too loose the way it is described. Oxy get your act together or make some changes.
Why would anyone want to go back full time? 3 days a week is plenty.
I went last week, in my floor attendance was less than 20%. Like everything else at this company: subject to supervisor approval. Seems like the reality is most don’t want to come back. Where was the clock ticking time remaining to come back? I guess went away as other more important things showed up, celebrating LGBTQK month?
Bad communication. Everyone is guessing what his/her boss is really wanting. Some department head believes VH wants everyone go back to office ASAP, other department head takes safety more serious and is doing a phased approach.
